Pixel Blue College Computer Camps 

Throughout the year, Pixel Blue College hosts various Computer Camps in 3D, Zbrush and Audio Production. 

3D Animation & Modeling Camp

  • Six Saturdays
  • Classes run from 9am to 4pm each Saturday
  • Classes are held at the Pixel Blue College Campus in Edmonton. 
  • Scroll to the bottom of this page to Register, Classes are limited to just 10 students!
  • The cost for the camp is $475.00. This includes the cost of tuition and materials that may be required for class participation. Students are not required to bring anything, just their willingness to learn.

Students attending the 3D Camp will use Autodesk’s Award winning software Maya.   Once enrolled in the program, students will be able to download free versions of this software through Autodesk University.  Students enrolled in this camp will learn things such as:

  •  Character Modeling basics
  •  Object Modeling basics
  •  Animation & Rigging basics
  •  Introduction to Texturing

 Audio Production Camp

  • Classes run from 9am to 4pm each Saturday
  • Classes are held at the Pixel Blue College Campus in Edmonton.

  • The cost for the camp is $475.00. This includes the cost of tuition and materials that may be required for class participation. Students are not required to bring anything, just their willingness to learn.

Students attending the Audio Production Camp will use a variety of different production softwares in order to learn basic and intermediate production techniques.   This courses are geared towards students that want to become DJ’s and learn to mix their own tracks.   Students enrolled in this camp with learn such things as:

  • Using electronic software based instruments
  • Audio Production Techniques
  • Synthesis
  • Mixing

Z Brush Camp

  • 10 Wednesday Evenings
  • Classes run from 6pm to 9pm each Wednesday
  • Classes are held at the Pixel Blue College Campus in Edmonton.

  • The cost for the camp is $339.00. This includes the cost of tuition and materials that may be required for class participation. Students are not required to bring anything, just their willingness to learn.
  • Students will be given a password to log in and view the online tutorials.

In this course students will learn the fundamentals of Zbrush and how to incorporate it into the production pipeline. The class is structured for a beginner level and will work on the necessary tools for sculpting organic and hard surface objects. There will be lectures for the first half of each class giving demos of the tools and their functionality.In the second half of each class will start with the homework assignment and work on it as a class.

The third week’s homework assignment is to sculpt two different human heads, which will be critiqued together as a class in week two. There will be an ongoing class project that is not due until the last day of class. Each week will have different milestones to achieve based on the lessons.
